Celebrating its tenth year, What the Heck? is a magical/mellow festival which happens on a small familial scale but has managed to grow with time. Most of the performers come from the Pacific Northwest region of North America or have strong ties to it. The festival has always been centered around a catered dinner where participants and concert goers share food at the Anacortes Croatian Club.

We offer two separate dinners (Friday and Saturday) to allow more people to attend. When purchasing a pass you get to decide which dinner (Friday or Saturday) you wish to sit at. This has doubled the attendance and now the main shows take place at dusk in the Port Warehouse where waves can be observed between floor boards as the tide comes in. There are also free concerts at Causland Park. All ages are welcome.

    Just checked with the Anacortes Marina and they are renting camping spots this year. If you have nowhere to stay, they are a perfect place. Cheap camping right in town, clean shower facilities. If you stay at the Marina, please be kind and pay for your stay. It is such a great option for people on a small budget. Unfortunately, the camping spots are first come first served, you can't make reservations. But it has worked in the past.
