Soundwave was really good this year, an improvement in the position of the stages, the lineup was impressive but the lines.... oh the lines.
Firstly, the maps were misleading and this caused several problems.
there was only one ATM which wasn't even where the map indicated, and there were fewer toilet areas than the map indicated.
The merch stand was in an awkward spot, and the lines took up too much of the walkway.
The EFTPOS machines used in the portables for the drink coupons were hopeless. I stood in line for 15 minutes before the guy in the booth declared it was completely fucked. I ended up purchasing something from the stall to get $50 cashout.
I would suggest that next year there be more lines for EFTPOS payment and a lot more ATMs. Nobody likes to carry around a lot of money, which you need at festivals like this where everything is expensive.
The food on offer was very average but very expensive.
