Sun 8 Nov – Femme Metal Festival

I had a bit of a nightmare trip down from Cambridge to Kingston by public transport as all service from Cambridge to Kings X was down, the Victoria line was down, and the train I hoped to get from Waterloo wasn't running either. Still I made it in the end, and not too late to meet up with friends for lunch at Pizza Express.

After that I headed on to The Peel, which was about 15 mins walk away, for the Femme Metal Festival and got there in time to see what I assume was the first band. The venue was surprisingly small, reminding me of The Barfly (Camden), or The Man In The Moon (Cambridge). Certainly tiny for a 'fesival'. Apparently the venue in Birmingham for yesterday's half of the festival was a lot bigger. Still I love small venues so this is great for me - I just hope it made it worthwhile for the bands and organisers.

    2:45pm-3:13pm Crimson Tears (I think - they didn't say!)
A goth metal type band, 4 piece (drums, guitar, bass, fem. vocals), but with some clean male vocals as well. …
