Mon 1 Mar – Soundwave 2010
So the festival yesterday was a mixture of awesome and total shit. The total shit part stemmed from the fact that it was a 40 c day and we were inland, away from the ocean sea breeze if it ever deigned to show up. There WAS a bit of a breeze, but it was very infrequent. I believe I've known even hotter festivals in the past, like that Big Day Out where sweat was literally a waterfall on the backs of my legs, but this was damn hot enough. I have a tiny bit of sunburn, in patches I forgot to put cream on, but for the most part I escaped unscathed. In that way at least. I think I got some sunstroke, because there was one point when I was lining up for merchandise when I almost passed out and had to leave the line. Also, I had a headache for most of the day, which I also blame on the sun. And yes, I was drinking HEAPS of water from the very beginning, so that wasn't the issue.
