That's how long I clocked the 'holocaust' section of You Made Me Realise tonight.
Of the 4 times I've seen mbv, this was definitely the loudest... and that's saying a lot!
I laughed out loud (of course, I couldn't hear myself), when a girl was trying to talk on the phone during the jet engine phase.
The vocals could stand to be nudged up in the mix, but overall, I thought it was a great show. I think it's amazing how full a sound they get from mostly just Colm, Debbie, and Kevin playing... Bilinda just held her guitar on several of the songs.
Set list was a "Best Of", except I really wished they would play
And I didn't feel like I was gonna go into seizures like at the SF show at the expo.
Oh, the opener was Kurt Heasley of Lilys. Just him and his acoustic guitar. The classic Lilys songs (the first 3 that I recognized) sounded really good in this form, but I don't think the crowd was too into him. Plus, he's always such a dork between songs.
