Astronick It is indeed, and the correct spelling is Guinevere fyi. Ben definitely is looking a lot cooler these days. Last time I saw them he had glasses and was carrying a fair amount of weight! Frightened Rabbit were superb and the whole of DCfC's encore was awesome.
November 2008 -
Emm-Vee Is We Laugh Indoors the I loved you Gwenyvere [excuse my spelling..] song? I don't know all the songs yet but I really liked that one. I Will Follow You Into The Dark was beautiful, and I loved The New Year and Title And Registration in the encore... but there was no Summer Skin :( Frightened Rabbit totally surprised me, I didn't think they'd be good but they were plus they were from the next town from me and I'd never heard of them! Plus Ben's appearance is so different from any photo I've ever seen, that surprised me too..

signpostboy 2 gigs on the trot at the corn exchange, completely different styles of music and both sounded really bad. frightened rabbit were superb, a pleasure every time.on their way to something big methinks. death cab were good, but were far superior on their last tour at the barra's with the 10 minute jam version of 'we look like giants' where ben was playing along on a mini drumkit. it did make me enjoy the songs from narrow stairs a lot more though.
November 2008 -
kickasspopmusic the last FR song - keep yourself warm. the last Death cab song - transatlanticism. that was TOOO good an ending on both counts.
November 2008 -
CMoosey Frightened Rabbit were impressive. Death Cab seemed a bit boring though. And the Corn Exchange sucks. But still, it wasn't terrible, so...
November 2008 -
shirocker Amazing show :)
November 2008 -
Tavocado @ Charlotteeeeee - I was at their gig the night before at the Ambassador in Dublin (which is a far superior venue) and they played Brothers On A Hotel Bed during their encore. Was a present surprise to see they mixed thing up a little though! Was also my first time at the Corn Exchange and I must agree, it's easily the worst venue I have been to!
November 2008 -
Charlotteeeeee I thought it was going to be alot better. But it was still good. :) First time i'd been to corn exchange, i never liked it. It would've been so much better at the Barrowlands to be honest. And i was gutted there was no Brothers On A Hotel Bed.
November 2008 -
susied23 Frightened Rabbit's set was: I Feel Better, Fast Blood, Old Old Fashioned, Good Arms vs Bad Arms, The Modern Leper, Square 9 and Keep Yourself Warm. For me (who was going to see them over Death Cab) they did brilliant in a such big venue. Their music is much more suited to smaller venues but they were great last night. And I liked Death Cab but (don't kill me) they didn't blow me away. The Sound of Settling was awesome though.
November 2008 -
stefaniewithanf tiny vessels.. waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa i died and came back to life and transatlanticsm.. such perfect ending to the set :) anyone notice how ben's losing his nerdyness tho, hes too cool now.. skinny and long hair and no specs :( AMAAAZING THO
November 2008 -
Quinapalus Songs they played: Bixby Canyon Bridge, The New Year, We Looked Like Giants, Company Calls, I Will Possess Your Heart, Crooked Teeth, I Will Follow You Into The Dark, We Laugh Indoors, No Sunlight, Cath..., Grapevine Fires, Soul Meets Body, Title Track, Long Division, The Sound of Settling, Marching Bands of Manhattan, Your New Twin Sized Bed, Title and Registration, Tiny Vessels, Transatlanticism. Think thats it, but if anyone can remember another/ put them in a better order, please correct...
November 2008 -
Quinapalus Frightened Rabbit were brilliant for a support band - wild on stage - imagine a cross between Kings of Leon and Counting Crows, with a lot of Scottish angst mixed in....
November 2008 -
-vaya- Transatlanticism, off the albm of the same name. Tiny Vessels was brlliant! As was Company Calls...and the entire set! :)
November 2008 -
craig92 what was the sooong they plaaayed last ? amaaaaaaaaazing gig :)
November 2008 -
aimeehorror wowowow, that was just perfect.
November 2008 -
loopygav_ie I love how thefinaldavid talks about SAA but all his top played tracks of death cab are from Narrow stairs or Transatlantisism.
November 2008 -
aimeehorror stereotypical much?
November 2008 -
aimeehorror they had that at good charlotte this year too, although not at fall out boy in 2006.
November 2008 -
TheWrongWayOut they had that at Mogwai last month, but I don't remember seeing it the other times I've been there?
November 2008 -
Emm-Vee Last time I went here [for Fall Out Boy] there was a bag search and an airport-style metal detector. Anyone know if this happens at every gig or if it was just cause of FOB?
November 2008 -
shirocker I can't wait :)
November 2008 -
stefaniewithanf eee i am so looking forward to this
November 2008 -
G-to-the-U I am going to go absolutely mental at this gig =P
November 2008 -
ricco_ishere ok cool, meet you all at the column thing!
November 2008 -
badgene I don't know, I'd describe the Corn Exchange as "unremarkable"; nothing to get excited about, but nothing particularly annoying about it either. Some people seem to mind the columns, but I find them extremely convenient to use as a meeting point. :^)
November 2008 -
jonnysnee it is not on anyones list of best venue in scotland. it's not the worst but it's a close call.
November 2008 -
TheWrongWayOut one of the worst*
November 2008 -

RachelApathetic Aww god damn it, why does Frightened Rabbit have to make me cry and be the support?! Their fuckin' excellent! If Ryan's support is half as decent, i'll be suprised.

RachelApathetic I'll be selling my ticket for this so if anyone is interested, send me a message. I've always wanted to see DCFC live but I've been waiting all year for Ryan Adams to announce another date in Scotland and it's unfortunate that it's the same day as this.
August 2008 -
jonnysnee this will be even better than the barrowlands show. but god damn the corn exchange is terrible.
August 2008 -
karahhh___k9 Saw them in London last month and they just totally blew my mind, going to Edin and London this time and I live in Glasgow but seriously, so so worth it!
