Sat 22 Mar – Does It Offend You, Yeah?, Cut Off Your Hands, George Pringle

The opening act was solo artist George Pringle. I'd heard about her from blogs and read about her on drowned in sound and was quite looking forward to seeing her; however straight from the start it seemed she wasn't too happy to be there. She appeared to be over demanding towards the sound tech, complaining about the levels on her iPod backing, this was fixed, then to make things worse she had been given a microphone that crackled everytime she moved, this wasn't much good to George as she seems to wonder around the stage during her performances. I really liked her sound though, I don't really want to compare her to Kate Nash, but there are similarities, but George's backing is definately a lot more techno, i read on one blog it sounded like robots having sex. By the end of the set George had had enough and left before she could finish her last song.
