Wed 18 Jun – Cavalera Conspiracy, August Burns Red, Animal Alpha

Yesterday i went with 2 friends to Cavalera Conspiracy in Paradiso Amsterdam. The venue wasn't sold out to our suprise, common ppl this is Max Cavalera, 10 years ago with Sepultura they played an almost sold out ahoy (10.000 ppl) where there were around 500 yesterday.

But the show was great, they played with lots of passion and agression, Max was great, he hasn't lost his touch. Lots of old Sepulturaand even a Nailbomb track, no Soulfly!

Cavalera Conspiracy

June 18th: Cavalera Conspiracy with August Burns Red and Animal Alpha

Yesterday we went to Amsterdam to see Max Cavalera and his Cavalera Conspiracy. We (Sinistrad, Bart and I) met at the Mc. Donalds in 's Hertogenbosch and left for Amsterdam. Due to the traffic we missed the support acts, but were way on time to see CC.
After we bought a few beers, they started at 20:35 with Inflikted from their new Album. The music was terrible in the hall, but when I used my earprotection plugs most noise was filtered from the music and then it was pretty good.
What I noticed was that Max doesn't actually plays guitar anymore. He just hits his lower D-string in the rhythm that the drums play, and that's it. Too bad, because it would be better for the songs when he plays along with Marc.
The set they played was a mix of CC, old Sepultura(Roots and earlier), 1 Nailbomb song and no Soulfly.
Of course, as we are used to when it comes to a gig where Max performs…
