The new album plus Microphones In The Trees, There's A Light and a new one they opened with, can't remember the name, maybe something about Shining .... On good form with particularly fine renditions of 1,000,000 Died ... and BlindBlindBlind I thought. Got a feeling that The Scala has upgraded it's sound system in the last year or so, as Múm there recently sounded really good but remember Clinic a while back sounding a bit rough. Seem to have big hanging PA plus bass built into the floor which seemed to thump nicely tonight. Suppose only one complaint - the banter starts getting a bit boring after a while. Used to like Godspeed! You Black Emperor so much partly coz they just played - more music less talk please? Particularly as I'd prefer not to know that I'm attending gigs with Pantera fans.
