katatonic13 The Enmore show I went to in 2005 was crap. They were completely lifeless. This time they were just awesome. Not Even Jail was the perfect song to end the main set. The only annoying part of the gig was the people trying to fill all the softer moments with inappropriate claps and cheers.

prkp Enmore Interpol shows were in July 2005. I preferred the Enmore show, but the Hordern show was still great.

falcon69 That show was sooo awsome, great setlist and great crowd :). I was also there when they played in enmore, i think it was 2005... I'm glad paul actully moved this time round though :P

xyg So chuffed with that show. it was great. I saw them when they played at the Enmore in 2005 (2004? i forget dates) and i'm pleased to note that they have at the very least maintained their awesome-ness.

Dispepsic carlos. how is that man so insanely cool. i loved the hilarious little white streak in his hair, made him look like a bond villian. hands away was amazing. as was the encore, i love how at the end when they were waving bye they all actually looked like they had fun and were really happy (hell, paul even smiled! geniuinely! i could see teeth and everything!)

I didn't expect to hear the new, even though it would have been great. I was pleasently surprised at how much old stuff they played, I'm glad they didn't pack it with new album songs. Did anyone see youth group? I was at a bar as well

I agree, besides Pioneer to the Falls the new songs don't compare well.

this show rejuvenated my love for the band, but i think it also revealed some of the deficiencies of olta. many of the new songs felt a bit empty and lacking the power of the rhythm section compared to the older stuff.

cutcutpaste its not that youth group are bad, its just that the general feeling is that they aren't a suitable support... i'll be tired after a 9 hour train trip that day to sydney so youth group will prob put me to sleep :S

nudgeee According to Youth Group's MySpace page, they are indeed supporting Interpol at this gig. Whats with all the YG haters? I thought Skeleton Jar was a pretty decent album. Can't wait for Interpol though!!!

I agree Lara336. I like Interpol and have seen them 3 times before and am going again. But Explosions in the Sky are something not of this world. And Youth Group are very good, although perhaps not a suitable support. Ghostwood would be a better choice.
