Rosie and Michel have been playing together as Ballet School since Summer 2010. Ballet School is a band created to make pop music with infinite melody influenced by Cocteau Twins, Fleetwood Mac, The Smiths and Nirvana. Michel has previously played with Berlin Krautrockers Camera and Rosie has performed in several Berlin-based projects including the DFA signed Moon Unit and Boy of Girl.

With an explosive live show that combines raw grunge-rock with techno beats and futuristic atmospherics, boy/girl two-piece The Unkindness of Ravens have blown audiences away in both London and Berlin over the last year. Using just Ben Raineʼs distorted bass guitar, a pulsating drum machine and the soulful croon of singer Nina Wagner, the band are the essence of minimalism - yet deliver the kind of sonic fireworks most four-piece bands would kill to deliver. The pair have already been compared to acclaimed bands such as The White Stripes and The Kills, however, their sound is darker and heavier, more soulful and progressive. 2011 saw the group that Clash Magazine describe as “reverb-laden scuzz pop” spending time in Berlin writing and recording while playing incredible shows in clubs such as White Trash and the famous Lido venue. Now with the release of their debut album VIRUS and a full European tour on the horizon, The Unkindness of Ravens return to Berlin with their exhilarating and revolutionary sound.
