Blackie and the Rodeo Kings will be making their long-awaited return to Toronto for a very special performance, „Kings and Queens“. The evening will feature special guest appearances and collaborations with some of Blackie’s favourite „Queens“ including Holly Cole, Amy Helm, Mary Margaret O’Hara, Serena Ryder and others.

Blackie and the Rodeo Kings released their seventh album entitled Kings and Queens in June 2011 to critical acclaim. Kings and Queens pairs the band with some of their favourite female singers and friends - and some of the biggest names in roots, blues and jazz including Roseanne Cash, Exene Cervenka, Holly Cole, Emmylou Harris, Amy Helm, Mary Margaret O’Hara, Janiva Magness, Sam Phillips, Serena Ryder, Patti Scialfa, Pam Tillis, Sara Watkins, Lucinda Williams and Cassandra Wilson. Grammy and Juno-winning producer Colin Linden (Bruce Cockburn, Tom Wilson, Stephen Fearing, Colin James) took the helm for the new album.

Blackie and the Rodeo Kings is one of the finest roots-oriented bands in North America and a Canadian musical treasure.
