Conan

SO THEN. This is a rerun of a show from October 2011, which happened in Cardiff venue The Gower and which featured these three bands. It finished about 10 minutes into Conan’s headline set because the stand-in landlord of the pub was completely shitfaced, as he’d been drinking all day post-rugby world cup, and physically stopped them playing because he felt they were too loud. It was pretty lame, especially for Conan who drove down from Liverpool and straight back again just for that. As a result, it was pledged to do it all again, this time in Buffalo.

Lumbering gargantuan stone megaliths of crushing sound presented here directly for your enjoyment. Their recent split with Slomatics (which you should really get if you haven’t already) was said to „strike like Neptune’s trident into the heart of the village, it lays the land low with the strength of a tsunami surge“.

Riding the wave of success since planting their newest release HAKKEN! in the pages of September 2011’s issue of Terrorizer magazine, someone once wrote that these guys provide „killer stoner-sludge-doom-metal hybrid with some heady atmospherics and plenty of repeat value.“, which is a much better description than I could ever give.

Shuffling into Cardiff once more since their last show at Loserpalooza, PUS will present to you a fine sludgy & crusty warm-up act for the rest of the evening. Comprising of five miscreants with varying hair/beard length, their debut EP release made somebody in the US write „relentlessly tranced out black dirge, doomy and psychedelic, mesmerizing and hypnotic.“
