Hahaha, he actually did! I hated them. I'm still disappointed by this show and it makes me sad cuz it's Chan Marshall and I just expected it to be so much better. And I only partially blame it on the venue. I've seen good shows at the Phoenix before so it's not the venue's fault. Although, ventilation ALWAYS sucks there.

man, i wasn't into that opening band. i had no idea who they were, and the guy looked like the uncomfortably sweaty lovechild of john goodman and sandra bernhard.

First time I've ever left a show early. I was so disappointed. This performance bored me to tears. :-(

The sound sat the Phoenix is always hideous-- can they not get a clear vocal on any show? Also, ridiculous air quality, it's true.

Yeah, I enjoyed the fact that it was in a smaller venue compared to somewhere larger. Didn't like the song selection that much either and it was so hot (it was ridiculous). But the performance was great. I hated the opening band too. So overall, a little disappointing.

I love that it was at the Phoenix.. too many of my fav bands play at larger venues (ie Kool Haus) so I was super happy with the Phoenix. The song selection was a bit shitty yes, she played like 3-4 old songs in total from my count. What was with the camera policy? they are throwing people out and then other people ere snapping pics (including myself).
