2011 has already seen Tribesembark on their first headline tour, which wound up with a predictably sold-out gig at Camden’s legendary Dingwalls, wall-to-wall fans clad in homemade Tribes’ t-shirts along with a Sex Pistol bearing witness to the sheer excitement the band create on-stage.


Released on August 15th, single ‘Sappho’ showcases Tribes’ emphatic musical blueprint: thundering rhythm section and brimstone guitars, giving way to sweet woozy melodies and tales of loverlorn abandon.

Also on the bill, the excellent Dirtblonde, who’ve gained plaudits with their own brand of feedback-drenched rock’n’roll. Compared to The Jesus And Mary Chain by none other than Alan McGee, Dirtblonde were a surprise hit at SXSW in Austin Texas, when the local press named Dirtblonde as one of the Top 8 „Must-See“ British bands. Their new EP, Token Rose, is out on 6th October.
