Didn't catch Echotape, but The Crying Spell seemed very wannabe eighties. Still better than The Icarus Line though. Killing Joke, it was the first time I saw them and I enjoyed it, but yes some more new material would have been appreciated. Where were In Excelsis and This Tribal Antidote?

This was a poor performance by Killing Joke - the sound quality was awful and they seemed just to be a group of 50 year old blokes playing 30 year old songs for their 40 something fans. I saw them at Hammersmith 18 months ago and was pretty impressed but tbh they seemed worn out at this. The Icarus Line were OK tho' in a sort of Stooges copyist way.
