I do this for every big show I go to. Going to a concert is far more than just sitting in a crowd. It’s an immersive experience that begins really from the moment you find out about the show. I want to document these times for myself, mainly, and anyone else who wants to know the ins and outs of watching a performance from beginning to end.

So here’s my report on the Panda Bear/Sonic Boom show last Sunday night.

    It changed me. Seriously.

A small excerpt to peak your interest (in reference to performing Tomboy, the song):

As Noah sang phrases like “take my life,” “What’s my life like?” I could only think that was appropriate. I couldn’t understand my life until I let it go and let it get swept away by something else. In this case, it was the music. Surrendering control is one of the most terrifying things you can do and my heart was racing…

What a great night. all bands did great. Arctic Monkeys played a very different set than that geared for the Palladium a few months earlier. Panda Bear was awesome. It is still a blur and that is what their music is like, a Collage of smells, sights and sounds that cling to your subconscious. TV on the Radio were INCREDIBLE! The energy they put out remind me of old NIN concerts.
