Legendary Austrian electronic musician FENNESZ returns for his second Miles of Smiles appearance, where he will fill the splendid surroundings of St Pancras Parish Church with his immense, detailed and supremely moving compositions for guitar and laptop. Expect the stones of the building to sing in communion with his naturalistic drone symphonies.
Also retuning is fellow Touch artist PHILIP JECK, who pores over salvaged 78s, discarded LPs and broken record players to tease dusty machine ghosts out into ecstatic, microtonally dense, dancing vapours and luminescent thrum. A monolith for all to heed at the crossroads of hauntology and deconstructed turntablism, beautiful, unique and overwhelming.
Commencing this special bill will be one of the first ever live appearances by OLD APPARATUS, pioneering hybridisers of deep-cortex dubstep, shimmering Kranky-style drone and mesmerizing, dislocated visuals.
This show will be an early start/early finish, so please arrive promptly.
