bloodredstones First time seeing the foxes and have to say (barring the lack of talking to the audience...which I'm not that fussed about...more bothered about the music) - The most special night so far of my year <3 loved the collaboration of instruments (particularly that edgy sax!) and the jolly tempo of the drums, loved those potent bursts of harmony that seemed to transcend the theatre itself, loved the beautiful ambience that trickled from the stage, mostly loved the solace your music gives to an old soul like me. Wish I could watch it all over again... <3

dollar24-2007 They were really good but never spoke much. I really enjoyed them and the bees but i hate the apollo the security are not very nice.

When I've seen them before - at the Roadhouse years ago and then the Academy - one of the most endearing things about them has been their immense on-stage banter. And not just Robin too. The whole band. At times it was like a stand-up comedy gig. So I wonder why they've decided to stop talking almost completely. Robin hardly said a word and the rest didn't speak at at all. Maybe they're more intimidated by the bigger venues? Also the smaller venues afforded them the sort of reverential hush from the audience that you never get in places like the Apollo where twats never stop talking.

manctofu Well, personally I loved it. Not seen them live before so maybe my expectations were lower, but I'm not sure what people expect from that type of music - a mosh pit? It's never going to take the roof off, they're musicians rather than showmen. That said, I think Robin could have spoken to the back of the room more (we couldn't hear a word he said), tried to involve us, but the audience also needs to make an effort and I couldn't believe the ignorance of people who spent the entire gig talking. No-one cares about your conversation you utter morons! Shut up or go to the pub! Anyway, the Foxes were just magnificent, and Robin singing Oliver James on his own was electrifying. Brilliant.

phoenixdarkness Fleet Foxes were amazing and I enjoyed The Bees as well. Agree with other comments, the whole vibe was off, didn't reckon much to the audience.
