What an amazing experience. Bono and the rest of U2 were on top form for this concert. I particularly liked how they made it relevent to South Africans by including Hugh Masakele in the performance. They did a tribute to Madiba and a video message from Desmond Tutu.
The set was just out of this world and was practically the size of the pitch. The Claw structure was just fantastic as it held a circular 360 degree screen that would later on in the concert come apart like a honeycomb structure with each cell still displaying the video images. The technology to achieve this must just be so cool.
We were able to re-live the concert afterwards by viewing the gigapixel images from the stadium cam and listening to the live streaming of the Cape Town concert the following Friday.
