Sun 24 Oct – Gorillaz, N.E.R.D
This was an amazing concert. The opening act, N.E.R.D. had great material and played a mix of hip-hop, rock, and r&b VERY well. I like how they involved the audience, interacted. I had never heard of them before but will definitely start listening to them now.
The main show, the Gorillaz, was absolutely stunning. For a band whose main face is its virtual members, I didn't know quite what to expect but these guys definitely pulled it off. My favorite part was watching all of the dozens of different band members and how they contributed to the music. The guest stars were great, I can't believe they got all those people to also perform!
The Gorillaz played all of my favorite songs, EVERY song with the exception of maybe one or two I thoroughly enjoyed, but if I had to pick five favorites of the live versions I would say Stylo, Rhinestone Eyes, White Flag, Feel Good Inc. and Demon Days.
