Schilling - the festival of beautiful music!
Taking place for the fourth time, „Schilling – The Festival of Beautiful Music“ is among the most unconventional events in Estonia.
For one day only, a small and nice Southern-Estonian town welcomes best current indie-bands from Estonia and abroad and and attracts a strange crowd. It is common to see a local senior and a hipster from the city sitting side-by-side, nodding their heads in appreciation for the sounds thrown at them from the stage. The bands are not just the freshest, but like ambassadors from the future – especially in context of a sleepy, groomed small town, where the time seems to stand still.
It’s not just about the music there - all the attenders will also be influenced by the unique atmosphere of the location.
The festival is named after baron von Schilling, whose manor was situated right where Kilingi-Nõmme is today.
