First time for a Metric show and i must say I was very impressed. Emily Haines has such a commanding stage performance and really knows how to amp up the crowd. She is that perfect feminine example of a mix between Rod Stewart and Steven Tyler (in an unbelievably sexy blu glittered dress). Although, the closing acoustic version of "Combat Baby" was beautiful, it's not what I was expecting. MY girlfriend had been at the Austin show the previous evening and said they completely blew it open on that last song. Either way, it was a great show and I will be seeing them again as soon as they come back. IF you're in the mood for something a bit more on the mellow side check otu Emily Haines and the Soft Skeleton...absolutely beautiful.
